AI Governance in 2027: What Changed, What's Coming, What It Means

Fri 11th Dec 2026 - 9:00am

The AI Act went live on 2 August 2026. Six days before it did, the rulebook was rewritten. Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, the Digital Omnibus on AI, pushed the high-risk regime out by sixteen months, added two new outright prohibitions, and left the transparency rules exactly where they were. If your board was briefed on the 2025 timeline, that briefing is now wrong in almost every material respect.

We’re inviting you to AI Governance in 2027: What Changed, What’s Coming, What It Means. A plain-English account of the first four months of enforcement, the obligations that bite on 2 December 2026, and what the 2027 calendar demands of your organisation.

This is not a legal seminar. It is a board-level read on where the regulatory risk actually sits, where it has moved, and what your organisation should be doing between now and the end of 2027.

In this webinar, you’ll:

  • See what enforcement has really looked like: four months of live supervision, the powers the AI Office now holds, why the first cases have been dialogue-led rather than fine-led, and why that is not a defence.
  • Get ahead of the 2 December 2026 triggers: the machine-readable marking deadline for generative systems already on the market, and the two new prohibitions on non-consensual intimate imagery and AI-generated CSAM, including why general-purpose image tools are caught by the “reasonably foreseeable output” test.
  • Understand what the delay did and did not buy you: Annex III high-risk moved to 2 December 2027 and Annex I to 2 August 2028, but the standards that make conformity provable are not finished, and sixteen months is not the reprieve it looks like.
  • Plan against the whole 2027 stack, not just the AI Act: the Product Liability Directive from 9 December 2026, the Cyber Resilience Act in December 2027, the Data Act tranches, and how the divergence between the EU, the US, the UK and Korea changes what a single global control framework can realistically cover.

Remember, the point of AI governance is not to slow the organisation down. Boards that treated the AI Act as a legal filing exercise are now discovering that the binding constraint is operational: knowing which systems you run, who provides them, what they generate, and who inside the business is accountable when one of them fails. That inventory is the deliverable. Everything else is downstream of it.

Join us to turn a moving regulatory target into a decision you can actually make.
