The new rules of communication for the hyper-busy 4IR workplace

Fri 6th Mar 2020 - 12:00pm

London

Organisations that provide an environment for self-determined learning experience significantly improved operational performance.

This 2-hour leadership session introduces you to a key area of self-determined learning – the brand new strategies needed to persuade, influence and inspire action in today’s digital world for greater career success.

Many of us rely on writing and communication techniques originally learnt in university, school or previous employer environments earlier in our careers, which are increasingly no longer relevant or effective for our hectic business environment.

A study from Adobe (2016) suggests that the average business person spends around 5 years of their life on email alone.  It’s therefore vital that we master new skills to get the results we need from our interactions, and to avoid the misunderstandings and wasted time, money and effort associated with poor communication.

In this session, Kim Arnold will show you how to cut through information overload to communicate with impact.  You’ll learn new strategies for how to:

  • Overcome shortened attention spans and groaning inboxes to get your message heard
  • Communicate complex messages more clearly and effectively for all stakeholders
  • Speak and write in a way that engages and stimulates action in an environment of competing priorities
