A non-executive director is expected to bring additional skills, experience and an external, rigorous  perspective to assist and, where necessary, challenge the board. Non-executive directors are not involved in the daily management, nor in the internal running of the company.

The impacts of Covid-19 has led the worst downturn in the UK for 300 years. The World Bank is predicting a grim outlook for the World economy, forecasting that global growth will slow to 4.1% this year, down from 5.5% in 2021.
